My older KG files are being treated as Text files.

The Open dialog in the Mac version no longer supports Macintosh file types, as these were deprecated in the Mac OS. If you have files that were created in the Mac version prior to OS X, the files may not have file name extensions. They can be added manually or you can try to use the AppleScript converter available on the Macros & Scripts page of our website. If the file name extension is not added, it will be treated as a text file. Data files must end with .qda; plot files must end with .qpc.
