How many characters can I enter into the Formula Entry and General curve fit windows?

In v4.5 and earlier, functions over 250 characters in length will be truncated in the Formula Entry and General curve fit windows. A way to get around this is to define portions of the formula in the Library and use a single formula to tie them all together.
