How do I add curve fits from a saved plot to the master curve fit list?

Version 5:

  1. Open the saved plot.
  2. Choose the fit you want to add from the General submenu of the Curve Fits menu.
  3. Click Define Function, click File, and click Save As to save the fit and any partials as a text file.
  4. Click OK until you return to the plot. Repeat steps 2-4 for any other fits you want to add.
  5. Create a new plot from scratch.
  6. Choose Curve Fit > General > Edit General.
  7. Click the New button to add a new fit to the list.
  8. Select the new fit and click Edit.
  9. Click File and then Open. Open one of the text files you saved previously.
  10. Click OK until you return to the General Curve Fits dialog. If you are done, click OK. If you have other fits to add, repeat steps 7-10.
  11. Now you can use this fit for any new plots. Remember to save changes to the Macros file when quitting to make this permanent.

Version 4.5:

  1. Open the saved plot.
  2. Choose Curve Fit > General > Edit General.
  3. Select the fit on the left side, select Clipboard on the right side, click the Copy button, and click OK to exit the dialog.
  4. Create a new plot from scratch.
  5. Choose Curve Fit > General > Edit General.
  6. Click the Add button to add a new fit to the list.
  7. Select the new fit, select the Clipboard button, click Replace, and click OK to leave the dialog.
  8. Now you can use this fit for any new plots. Remember to save changes to the Macros file when quitting to make this permanent.
