How do I get the curve fit command to calculate an X value from a curve for a known Y value?

The curve fit commands are designed to calculate a Y value from a curve for a known X value. The only way to do the reverse is to either rewrite the equation (solving for X) or to use the table command to linearly interpolate an X value from a known Y value.
