Can KaleidaGraph open Excel 2007 and later files?
Version 4.5 of KaleidaGraph is the only version that directly opens .xlsx files. Earlier versions do not support the .xlsx file format. There are three ways to get the data from Excel into KaleidaGraph v4.1 or earlier:
- Copy the data in Excel and paste it into KaleidaGraph. If the first row of information contains column titles, press the Shift key to perform a Paste w/Titles. The first row of information will be used as the column titles when pasted.
- Save the Excel file in a older style format (.xls extension). These files can be opened directly.
- Save the file as a tab-delimited text file. These can be opened and will give you control over what columns are imported.
