While most of the features are the same between the two platforms, there are a few differences:

  • The Windows version supports DDE and OLE for sharing data and plots with other applications. The Mac version does not have support for anything similar.
  • The Windows version supports the Metafile format for saving graphics.
  • The Windows version supports a smaller range of fill patterns. The Mac fill patterns are available in the Windows version through an option in the Preferences dialog, but they may not print correctly.
  • The maximum resolution of exported images is 800 dpi for the Windows version and 1400 dpi for the Mac version.
  • The Mac version supports AppleScript. The Windows version does not have anything that allows it to be scripted from an outside source.
