  • If copying the plot, make sure you are using Copy Graph and not Copy Selection. The Copy Selection command will yield a 72 dpi image whereas the Copy Graph command can give up to 1400 dpi (Mac) or 800 dpi (Windows) when printed.
  • You can also specify the resolution when exporting the image in a specific format (GIF, JPEG, TIFF, etc.

  • If copying the plot, make sure you are using Copy Graph and not Copy Selection. The Copy Selection command will yield a 72 dpi image whereas the Copy Graph command (with Postscript PICT (Mac) or High Resolution on) will give 300 dpi or more when printed.
  • Scale the image up by 400% when exporting the image and reduce it back down by 25% once it is imported. This process of scaling it up and reducing it builds resolution into the image.
  • Try exporting in a different file format. Increase the Scale Result By field to increase the resolution.
