To export an EPS file, a PostScript printer must be available in the Printer control panel. You do not need to be connected to the printer, but you need to add a printer that uses a PostScript driver.

  1. Choose Print Graphics or Print Layout from the File menu.
  2. Verify that a PostScript printer is selected.
  3. Select the Print to File check box.
  4. Click Preferences.
  5. Click Advanced.
  6. Choose EPS for the PostScript Output Option.
  7. Click OK until the main Print dialog is displayed.
  8. Click Print to display the Print To File dialog.
  9. Enter a file name and enter .eps for the file name extension. Once you click OK, an EPS file is created on your hard disk that can be imported into another program. Depending on the destination program, you may not be able to preview the image, but it will print correctly. Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are two programs that we have found that can preview an EPS file created in this manner.
  10. The file should be saved in the Users/(user)/AppData/Roaming/Synergy Software/KaleidaGraph 4.1 directory.
