  • Try re-installing the software under the Administrator account. If you uninstalled an earlier version or a demo version, the registry information may have been removed.
  • If using an older version of the software, this problem can be fixed by getting an update to the current version.
  • The problem can also be fixed by following these steps: 
  1. Choose Start > Run and enter regedt32.exe
  2. Navigate to the one of the following keys: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{8FF76521-3586-11D1-AA05-00609793741E}, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\KGraph_Plot
  3. Select the key and choose Security > Permissions.
  4. Select the user in the dialog and click Advanced.
  5. With that user still selected, click View/Edit.
  6. Turn on the check boxes for Set Value, Create Subkey, and Delete.
  7. Click OK to all of the dialogs.
  8. Repeat the process for the other key.
