Floating Bar/Column plots – These plot types were added in v4.5 of KaleidaGraph.

In earlier versions it is possible to use a Scatter plot to get the appearance of this plot type:

  1. Plot the data as a Scatter plot, choosing the column of larger values first and the smaller values second.
  2. In the Variable Settings dialog, set the Marker to Bar for both variables. For the column of smaller values, choose a solid fill pattern and a color of white. The width of the bars can be controlled using the Marker Size setting.
  3. In Plot Options, click Bar, and deselect the Draw Column Frame option.
  4. It would be a good idea to remove the grid lines from the plot.

Mark as helpful.
