- The Plot Size (viewing) menu and the extract data icon draw completely after the plot window is resized.
- Excel files with text formulas in the first row are correctly recognized and used as the column titles.
- DFS shares map to driver letters one time.
- Long column names no longer cause the error bar menu list to overflow the window size.
- When the user has more than 256 columns, the Error bar column number dialog is easier to use for selecting the error bar data column. The new selection dialog displays the column names and numbers as a list that can be resized if needed to allow for the display of long column names.

Important Note for OS 10.5 users: Apple made some security changes under OS 10.5 that cause the updater to be quarantined because it was downloaded from the Internet. This causes an extra dialog to appear that does not appear on earlier versions of the OS. This seems to confuse the updater for some reason, causing it to hang.
Solution:
- Download the Remove Quarantine Flag AppleScript program. You may need StuffIt Expander to decompress the file.
- Drop the KaleidaGraph 4.0.4 Updater file on the script that was downloaded.
- Click the check box in the dialog that appears and click Open.
- Launch the KaleidaGraph 4.0.4 Updater. It should operate normally.
